Spring Sweet Pea Pasta Salad Recipe
This quick and easy salad can be served as a side dish or a main course. I suggest serving it with sliced apple, sweet gherkins, or cornichons. Nice bread and a glass of white wine wouldn't hurt either!
Perfect for potlucks and picnics, this chilled macaroni salad with petite peas has a tasty mayo and sour cream dressing and extra crunch from diced celery and red peppers.
Great spring/summer recipe. Refreshing on a hot day. The lemon, dill and cayanne pepper make this dish unique. Made a few vegetarian friendly substitutions: soy cheese instead of cheddar, worthington's "wham" instead of ham (any vege "ham" product will do the trick), Nayonase instead of mayonase and a sour cream substitue. It's really good!!!!
Sounds wonderful. I bet using shrimp instead of ham would really be good. Can't wait to try !!!!!
Loved the mix of dill and lemon. I did add a bit more sour cream and mayo - just like a creamier consistency - will make again for sure!!
Cook the pasta, combine with sweet peas and a bit of chopped onion, and spoon on mayonnaise and a dash of hot sauce.
Ham, peas, Cheddar cheese cubes, and shell pasta are dressed in a mayonnaise, vegetable oil, and lemon juice dressing for a nice alternative to traditional pasta salads.
This vegetarian tortellini salad with peas, tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, chives, and parsley is perfect for potlucks or parties.
Nothing but standard stuff in this quick salad recipe. Just mix peas, mayonnaise, egg, cheese, and onion and enjoy it!
